Blue Mold Confirmed in Kentucky
From talking to Dr. Kenny Seebold, Plant Pathologist and Tobacco Specialist with the University of Kentucky, blue mold was found in Shelby County in Kentucky on Friday, July 30th. The projections from the forecasting center at North Carolina State University indicate that the same pattern that is responsible for the blue mold in Shelby County could have brought the spores into part of our area of Southeastern Ohio. Shelby County is located just east of Louisville.
