The Brown County Junior Leaders is open to any 4-H youth once they turn 14. Junior Leaders (JLs) is a service learning group for teens who want to develop their leadership skills. Teens involved in Junior Leaders will be helping with various 4-H programs throughout the year such as the 4-H 5K, project judging, and school enrichment programs. Additionally, they will be developing their own community service projects.
Meetings are currently being set on a month by month basis. Any teen who would like to receive email notification of meetings should contact Christy by calling the Extension Office or emailing her at clary.42@osu.edu. To date the JLs have been working on developing service projects, went on a Ski Trip to Perfect North with Scioto and Jackson County and are planning to attend the Ohio 4-H Conference in March. Additionally, they are currently working to develop presentations to promote 4-H during Brown County 4-H Week in March.
