    Each Junior Fair organization may enter one (1) participant in each category.  An individual may not enter more than one category. (For example: One member may enter a cherry pie category and another member may enter the apple pie category.) An Adult Advisor/Volunteer must submit entry for their club/organization. 

  4. Sep. 03, 2019 (All day)

    All Companion animal projects require an information sheet and picture for Junior Fair registration. You will need to bring or mail your form and picture of you with your animal by September 1, 2018 to the OSU Extension - Brown County office. Pet Rabbits must come to the August 24th tag in 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. at the Georgetown High School FFA room. All other Companion animal projects do not have to come to tag in but need to mail or turn in the information form.

  5. Aug. 24, 2019 9:00am to 10:00am

    Small Animal Tag-in for Geese, Ducks, Turkeys, Fancy Chickens and Wildlife will be Saturday, August 24th from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. at the Georgetown High School. (FFA area). You must bring the Poultry Information Sheet that you should have recieved in the mail with you to tag-in. It is important that this form is filled out neatly and completely as this is what the department uses for the fair sale and shows. Please note that there are over 400 projects being exhibited in this department.

  6. Aug. 24, 2019 9:00am to 11:00am

    Rabbit tag-in will be Saturday, August 24th Fancy Rabbits from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. and Meat Rabbit & tattooing from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Georgetown high school (FFA Area). You must bring the Rabbit Information Sheet that you have received in the mail with you to check-in.     The Skill-a-thon is mandatory for beef exhibitors in order to exhibit, be eligible for awards, and sale of project. The exhibitors must get a score of 65% or higher to be eligible for awards.

    Any youth wishing to exhibit an animal at the fair is required to complete Quality Assurance.  An animal project will be defined as any animal project that is exhibited at the fair EXCEPT: Companion Animals:  dogs, cats, and projects taken through the Pet Rabbit or Pocket Pet projects. All Quality Assurance  must be completed and documentation submitted to the OSU Extension office by July 1, 2019  Any youth wishing to exhibit livestock at the Ohio State Fair MUST complete QA by June 1, 2019.
