Clean up day will be Monday, September 10th, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Bring sponges/rags, buckets, broom, Clorox/cleaners and gloves. Members will need to attend one of the cleanup days to participate in the fair.
It is very important that exhibitors understand that all Exhibition Chickens, Egg Production Chickens (Hens & Pullets) , Ducks, Turkeys and Geese must come to tag-in on August 25th. Wildlife exhibitors should only bring a photo of their project to tag-in on August 25th. Any animal not at tag-in (except wildlife) will not show at the fair.
Rabbit Check-in - Saturday, August 25th, Georgetown High School FFA area.
Breeding/Fancy Rabbits from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Meat Rabbit & tattooing from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. You must bring the Rabbit Information Sheet with you to check-in. It is important that this form is filled out neatly and completely as this is what the department uses for the fair sale and shows.
The chicks must be picked up on Friday, August 3, 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the fairgrounds by the junior exhibitor or immediate family member. All chicken paperwork must be completed at check-in. (Poultry Information Sheet) Please bring a carrier to pick up the chicks.
The Skill-a-thon is mandatory for beef exhibitors in order to exhibit, be eligible for awards, and sale of project. The exhibitors must get a score of 65% or higher to be eligible for awards.
