Rabbit tag-in will be Saturday, August 24th Fancy Rabbits from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. and Meat Rabbit & tattooing from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Georgetown high school (FFA Area). You must bring the Rabbit Information Sheet that you have received in the mail with you to check-in. It is important that this form is filled out neatly and completely as this is what the department uses for the fair sale and shows. Please note that there are over 400 projects being exhibited in this department. The superintendent cannot call each exhibitor, so please have the information filled out prior to coming to the check-in. Please use one form for each animal.
The following lists the number of meat animals you may tag-in on August 24th:
Single Fryer Rabbit (check-in 3 and show 1)
Meat Pen of 3 Rabbits (check-in 6 and show 3) (Tattoo 6 only)
The exhibitor is to bring the Meat Project rabbits to tag-in to be tattooed.Those showing meat rabbits, single fryer or meat pen can buy the rabbits, do not need to bring a mother rabbit. Meat rabbits are to be meat breeds of those species.
Doe and Litter exhibitors should only bring a photo of their project to tag-in on August 24th.
Any animal not at tag-in will not show at the fair.
