If your license expires in 2020, you should have already received a letter from the Ohio Department of Agriculture stating that it’s time to renew your license and pay your $30.00 licensing fee. Remember, you can send in the $30.00 licensing fee now, even if you haven’t been through a recertification class yet. If you attend our Brown County session, we charge $10.00 per credit hour. Therefore, if you need the full 3-hour pesticide recertification and the 1-hour fertilizer recertification, your total cost for Brown County’s class will be $40.00. This charge covers our cost of publications, guides, and refreshments provided for the class. We recommend paying before the event as costs will increase to $50.00 if paid later.
The Brown County training will be held on March 19, 2020 at the Brown County Fairgrounds. We will meet in the administration (carpeted) room between the Sr. Fair Board Office and the Farm Bureau Office. The session will begin with fertilizer recertification from 5:30pm-6:30pm. The pesticide recertification will be from 6:30pm-9:30pm. If you have any questions, please call the Brown County Extension Office at 937-378-6716 or email James Morris, OSU Extension Educator, Agriculture & Natural Resouces and Community Development at firstname.lastname@example.org.
