    This year between January and March in 2021, the Pastures for Profit curriculum will be offered as a virtual course. One live webinar will be offered per month along with “work at your own pace” videos and exercises that accompany each webinar. The Pastures for Profit program is a collaboration between Ohio State University Extension, Central State University, USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service, Ohio Federation of Soil and Water Conservation Districts, Ohio Department of Agriculture, and the Ohio Forage and Grasslands Council.

  6. Applications being accepted for 2021 Brown County Junior Fairboard

    Applications are now being accepted for the 2021 Brown County Junior Fairboard. 

    The Brown County Junior Fairboard is comprised of youth from all junior fair organizations and serves as the working group for the fair. Members of the Junior Fairboard solicit trophy donations, assist at tag-ins/check-ins, and fundraising events throughout the year. At the fair, members assist with department duties, work in the junior fair office, and help with other junior fair activities as needed.

  9. Required Junior Fair Exhibitor Forms - Livestock

    Drug Use Notification Forms & Ractopamine Free Forms (swine) will be virtual this year. 

    We were selected as a pilot county for ODA for the virtual DUNF forms. We have previously said that this was coming and to be on the lookout for the information, and now is the time!

    The Brown County Junior Fair uses Fair Entry to help facilitate the fair. This program is used to set up classes and to run the junior fair sale. We started using this program in 2019 and now that we know more of the features, we are trying to use it to its fullest potential.
